There are five total steps to follow. 0 to 48 hours (Dates:_________________________) (5% glucose solution) 1 Teaspoon white corn syrup Few grains each _ table salt _ salt substitute 4 Tablespoons boiled water As soon as whelp dry and breathing normally, weigh it and give 5_6 drops on tongue and let nurse. Take weight every 4 hours, give glucose solution and nurse. NO supplement food for first 48 hours. (Esbilac, egg yolk, Yogurt, etc.
48 hours to 72 hours (Dates:_________________________) 2 Tablespoons Esbilac 6 Tablespoons boiled water 1 Teaspoon corn syrup few grains each _ table salt - salt substitute Every 4 hours – weigh, supplement and let nurse
72 hours to 1 week old (Dates:_________________________) 4 Tablespoons Esbilac 12 Tablespoons boiled water 2 Teaspoons corn syrup few grains each _ table salt - salt substitute 1 egg yolk (de_stringed) beaten 1/2 Tablespoon unflavored gelatin Every 4 hours – weigh, supplement and let nurse
